The Team
Chris O’Connor
Peer Support Team Leader
Chris is 52 and has diverse work and life experiences. He is very enthusiastic about supporting peers on their personal journey of recovery; to discover their potential and reclaim lost self confidence. Based on his personal and family experiences Chris sincerely believes ordinary people who have “common experience” of mental illness can use their personal recovery experiences to foster hope of recovery in others who my be struggling with mental illness. Persons with mental illness can choose to make positive changes in their lives. With peer support and encouragement they can start planning goals, taking steps toward realising their dreams and go on to live rewarding lives in the community.
